Recapping the 2009 Mount Washington ride.

On Sunday August 2nd, VASA held their annual ride up Mount Washington.  This year the rain held off long enough to allow for an excellent day on the mountain. The weather on the bottom was partly sunny with temperatures in the low 80’s.  At the top there were steady 30MPH winds with gusts well over 50MPH and the temperature was somewhere in the upper 40’s based on the feel.  Roughly 130 machines made the 8 mile trip up the mountain to the nearly 6300′ summit.  Approximatly 30 of those machines carried passengers.  I’m not sure how these numbers compare to previous years as this was the first time I attended this event.  We have some pictures from this years ride in our photo gallery, a video of my Rhino making the ascent below the photo gallery. You can find more pictures and videos from this event on our forums.  Check it out!
