The Southern Vermont Trail Riders trail system in Townshend Vermont will remain closed due to storm damage until work can be completed a number of serious washouts. We also must repair many of our water bars and clear debris from culverts. We are working on the washouts this coming weekend and will post a followup after the work party. We hope to reopen our trails as soon as possible but we need to make sure that trail conditions are safe and that we will not be doing further damage by reopening the trails.
Anyone who is interested in helping with the repairs can contact Lloyd Church or Ray Leeman to let them know you are available. The work party will assemble at our Joy Brook landing at 9am on Saturday 9/17.
