{"id":140,"date":"2008-11-21T09:59:12","date_gmt":"2008-11-21T14:59:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/svtr.net\/?p=140"},"modified":"2011-04-21T09:42:23","modified_gmt":"2011-04-21T13:42:23","slug":"november-20-2008-meeting-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/svtr.net\/?p=140","title":{"rendered":"November 20, 2008 Meeting Report."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Topics discussed at our November meeting included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SVTR currently has 113 members with 112 VASA registered machines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Checking vs. Savings<br \/>\nThe question of how to use the clubs checking and savings accounts was raised for discussion.\u00a0 Everyone should think about this and bring their ideas or suggestions to the next meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>VASA Annual meeting<br \/>\nVASA will hold it&#8217;s annual meeting on January 10th in Barre.\u00a0 All members are welcome to attend.\u00a0 If your interested, contact Lloyd for further details.<\/p>\n<p>VASA shirt\/sweatshirt orders are being taken.\u00a0 If you are interested, contact Lloyd.<\/p>\n<p>VASA has approximately 2500 members this year up from approximately 1700 last year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Website Update<br \/>\nNew website hosting and design are complete.\u00a0 Site is up <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">but we are waiting for DNS changes for it to be live<\/span>.\u00a0 New site also includes a members forums area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Donation to BEEC\/Habitat for Humanity.<br \/>\nA donation of $100 to BEEC and or Habitat for Humanity was voted and passed. $50 will go to each organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Trails<br \/>\nTrail maintenance was lacking this year.\u00a0 Many of us did not get out to ride as regularly as we have in the past.\u00a0 The land owner has noticed the lack of maintenance and we have promised to pick it up again next year.\u00a0 We will be planning a number of work parties starting in spring.\u00a0 The joy brook bridge will be among the first of these work parties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Joy Brook Bridge<br \/>\nLand owner has approved the use of culverts to replace this bridge.\u00a0 We are researching material costs to go this route.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Dec 18 Meeting &#8211; &#8220;Member Appreciation Day&#8221;<br \/>\nOur next meeting will be on December 18 at the Newbrook Fire Station at 7Pm.\u00a0 This is &#8220;Member appreciation Day&#8221;. Please bring a snack or dish to share with everyone.\u00a0 We will hold a 50\/50 at this meeting.\u00a0 Bring your own drinks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>T-Shirts<br \/>\nWe are still in the process of researching a different printing method and sources.\u00a0 The question of a new logo design was raised.\u00a0 If anyone has ideas for a new logo, bring those ideas to the December meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Turnout was 12 members for this meeting.
