{"id":7,"date":"2008-07-18T09:11:01","date_gmt":"2008-07-18T13:11:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/svtrtest.billortlieb.com\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2025-03-20T19:55:06","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T23:55:06","slug":"about-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/svtr.net\/?page_id=7","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>WELCOME TO THE SOUTHERN VERMONT TRAIL RIDERS WEB SITE.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>What is SVTR? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SVTR is a non-profit organization started in 2006.&nbsp; Our organization is exclusively for charitable and educational purposes as well as the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To foster a close relationship with, appreciation and recognition of the landowners of the State of Vermont for the purpose of developing and managing a statewide ATV trail system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To develop and maintain a statewide network of ATV trails with other state wide VASA organizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To teach and encourage the safe, courteous, lawful, responsible and LEGAL use of ATVs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To actively seek and support the preservation and protection of our natural environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To promote the development of recreational areas for the use of ATV?s within the state.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To render public service in case of emergency and\/or disaster.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Club Memberships:<br \/>\nSVTR club membership dues are effective January 1- December 31 of each year.&nbsp; The dues include a VASA map of Vermont and the right to ride on any of the trails on the map as long as you are a member of VASA and SVTR.<\/p>\n<p>Due to COVID-19, the SVTR has not been holding regular indoor meetings. &nbsp;Instead, we have been scheduling meetings outdoors at our trailhead as needed and when the weather supports. &nbsp;To receive notice of meeting dates, please join the <a href=\"http:\/\/svtr.net\/maillist\/?p=subscribe&amp;id=1\">mailing list<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Our S.V.T.R. club meetings are held at the Newbrook Fire Station in Newfane, VT. on the third Thursday of every month (April thru December) at 6:00PM<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Our meetings are always open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>S.V.T.R. &amp; V.A.S.A Membership fees are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vermont registered machine $60<\/li>\n<li>Out of State registration $105<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This covers SVTR Dues, VASA Membership and Trail Access Decal fees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Please <a href=\"http:\/\/svtr.net\/?page_id=18\">contact<\/a> any club officer&nbsp;if you have any questions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We thank you for your interest and support in the S.V.T.R. and look forward to seeing you on our trails.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Please, Always &#8220;Tread Lightly, Ride Safe and Have Fun!!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Our mailing address is:<br \/>\nSouthern Vermont Trail Riders, Inc.<br \/>\nPO Box 8146<br \/>\nN.
